Aren’t the legs you are providing white in colour?

Tom Williams

The legs donated to us are disassembled into their modular components, and most of the time, these legs include a footshell with a white skin tone – whilst, in general, the recipients of these footshells have a brown skin tone. There are options for the recipient rehabilitation centres to source local cosmetic finishing and aim to match the cosmetic finishing to the colour tone of the patient/amputee. Most importantly, the cosmetic finishing choice hugely depends on the patient’s choice, as some may opt for a cosmetic finish different from matching skin colour. Also, while most of the feet are caucasian skin, this hasn’t and shouldn’t be a concern as they are often worn in shoes.
