"I ran the Bristol Half Marathon for STAND because I deeply believe in the power of mobility and how transformative it can be. I am passionate about the circular economy and see the importance of recycling prosthetic legs, so I'm thrilled to support a charity with such
a global impact. If my running helps others gain the mobility they deserve, then that’s a truly powerful way to make a difference."

Dom Hughes, the Great Bristol Run 2024.

Frequently asked questions

We have a limited number of guaranteed entry places for fundraising events, and each one represents an opportunity to deliver life-changing support to amputees and disabled communities. By committing to a fundraising target, you're helping ensure that every place we offer has the biggest possible impact.

Your registration fee helps cover essential costs – from securing event places to providing you with a STAND t-shirt and ongoing support. The fundraising pledge ensures we can raise vital funds to provide prosthetic limbs and empower amputees through training, advocacy, and community-building.

Yes! You're welcome to apply directly to the event organisers for your own place. Once you've secured your spot, we'd love for you to join #TeamSTAND. There's no minimum target required – any amount you raise will help change lives.

We completely understand, and we're here to help. Get in touch with us as early as possible for tips, ideas, and personalised support. Email us at hello@stand.ngo and we'll work with you to boost your fundraising.

Sites like JustGiving or Enthuse let your supporters donate to your page quickly and securely using a debit or credit card. Funds raised through these platforms are transferred directly to STAND, so there's no need to collect or track donations yourself.

Absolutely. Your welcome pack will include helpful tools and resources to get started. If you need anything else – from materials to advice – just drop us an email at hello@stand.ngo and we'll be happy to support you.

We ask that you send in all offline donations within one month of your event date. If you're using an online fundraising page, donations will come to us automatically.

If you've collected cash or cheques, please get in touch with us at hello@stand.ngo for guidance. Cheques and sponsorship forms can be posted to:
