The situation
In August, we are hitting the road to collect hundreds of prosthetic legs across the UK.
We are going to all this trouble as millions of amputees in Africa have no access to prosthetic legs. Whilst the UK and other countries throw them away after use.
This appeal is to fund our leg collection tour and other work to get people STAND-ing again.
First £2,000 of DONATIONS ARE DOUBLED, matched by our generous friends at Blatchford.
The solution
This August we are looking to fund our UK and global collection of legs, and of course the essential rehabilitation work to help people with their legs. All this will help hundreds of amputees walk again.
Our target is £20,000 (and 500+ legs). The first £2,000 donations will be doubled, which are kindly being matched by Blatchford.
Collect
We collect leg components all over the world, including UK, Europe, USA, Canada and Australia.
Refurbish
These legs still have the power to change lives, so our work prevents these valuable components going to landfill.
Send
We ship them to our partners, ready to be fitted to people with limb differences.
