The basic principle of this unique design is based on coupling a C-shaped carbon fiber spring with the foot’s base spring using a control ring. The C-Walk carbon foot not only makes a symmetrical gait possible but also reduces strain on both sides of the body – the one with the prosthesis as well as the sound side. The C-Walk releases exactly as much of the stored energy in each phase of the gait cycle as the user actually needs to make the rollover of the foot as smooth and physiological as possible. The C-spring provides a comfortable, cushioned heel strike with multi-axial mobility to compensate for uneven surfaces. These help the user walk in a comfortable, dynamic manner.
