Developing clinical capacity

Enhancing the skills and expertise of healthcare professionals through targeted training enables them to deliver high-quality prosthetic care and support to individuals with limb differences.

Training is happening all year around.

What are the challenges?

The need to develop clinical capacity within the prosthetics industry is becoming increasingly imperative.

  • Central to this development is the focus on training, which ensures that professionals are equipped with the latest knowledge and skills to offer the right care.

  • Without ongoing capacity development, healthcare facilities risk falling behind in adopting evolving best practices, potentially creating disparities in the quality and accessibility of care.

  • Expanding clinical capacity is critical for meeting the wide-ranging needs of patients, from the initial assessments and fittings to regular maintenance and support, facilitating active and fulfilling lives for those with limb differences.

With the rise in demand for prosthetic care, propelled by technological advancements and a heightened awareness of the unique requirements of individuals with limb differences, there is an urgent call for enhanced service delivery capabilities.
