Whether you use a stump sock or a bandage it must be change each day for fresh clean one. Each morning your socket should also be clean and fresh.
How to clean your bandage
Step 1
Use warm water with a mild soap to wash elastic bandages. Do not use hot water.
Step 2
Rinse completely with clean, warm water.
Step 3
Dry bandages on a flat surface away from direct sunlight. Hanging and sunlight can spoil the elastic in bandages.
How to clean your stump sock
Step 1
Use warm water not hot with a mild soap. Do not use hot water.
Step 2
Rinse completely with clean, warm water.
Step 3
You may want to put a ball in the end of the sock whilst it dries as this may make it more comfortable to wear.
Remove the ball before wearing the sock
