Running round Truro with a Vesper-wheelie-bin

October 31, 2015

Zooming around Truro in a mod styled wheelie-bin (or… VESBIN) collecting charitable donations!

Sounds great fun, and it’s happening on the 11th November in Cornwall’s biggest city. The staff and residence of Truro Foyer, part of ‘Devon and Cornwall Housing Group’ or DCH, have been busily designing and creating the wheelchair-wheelie-bin, a bespoke made money collecting machine where Wayne Cross will sit as he is dragged around the city.

The Vesbin is a working progress, tractor tyres to be added soon!

The group will be armed with collection pots and hopefully full of energy, following a route collecting from offices, friendly businesses and the generous public. The DCH have decided to raise these funds to help Legs4Africa deliver a shipment of prosthetics to Ghana where they can be reused to mobilise hundreds of amputees. Phil Martin from DCH met the Legs4Africa team Port Eliot Festival in the summer and was inspired to fundraise for them. Saying ‘’I am really impressed with what Legs4Africa has done so far and what they aim to achieve’’

So, please come along on the 11th at noon to show your support. Or get in touch if your business would like to be included in the route.
If you can’t make it but love the idea then please donate here: https://www.justgiving.com/Phil-MartinDCH/

Route map and more photos of the Vesbin to follow dreckly!
